It’s been a hell of a process, but I finally finished both the animations and the rig on the character for my next game.
Once I actually learned the process, it was exceptionally easy. Since I had only 2 animations, and I managed to get Maya’s auto rigging, HumanIK, to work with the model.
The hardest part of the game is now done. Next I’m going to try fixing the ragdoll physics, then I’ll start adding sounds and particles to the game, then work on the menu/interface, and finally setup the achievements.
Ah, yeah. I also need to come up with a name…
